Principal's Note:

What an exciting week we've had! The outstanding turn-out for our Halloween costume parade was a wonderful display of school spirit. Seeing so many creative costumes and smiling faces truly reinforced the feeling that our students, teachers, and staff all feel well-supported by one another and our entire community. Thank you for making it such a memorable event!

Parent/Teacher Conference Week

We're looking forward to seeing everyone during Parent/Teacher Conference Week, November 3rd–7th. This is a vital time for us to connect, discuss your child's progress, and plan for their continued success.

Please use the dedicated link in this newsletter to schedule a time to meet with your child's teacher. We look forward to connecting with you.

Supporting Our Students & Our Neighbors

A big thank you to all who supported our 8th-grade fundraiser by purchasing dine-in or take-out meal tickets for Monday, November 3rd. Your generosity directly supports our students' end-of-year activities.

We are also proud to announce that our 6th-grade students are leading a Food Drive to support the Bar Harbor Food Pantry! This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about service and community needs. Food item donations will be collected from November 5th to November 20th. Please consider contributing to help local families.

As November arrives, we know the winter months can be a challenging time of year for many. Seasonal work often winds down, heating and electricity expenses rise, and the stress of the season—including the impact of less daily sunlight—can affect our mood.

If your family is experiencing hardship, please know that you are not alone, and we are here to help. We invite you to confidentially contact Nurse Ashley or our school social worker, Contessa Brophy. Both can help connect families with valuable community resources to help ease burdens during this time of year.

This time of year, fostering a strong sense of community is more important than ever. I encourage everyone to be mindful of one another, look out for and help our neighbors, and make a conscious effort to extend gratitude. Practicing gratitude and sharing kindness are powerful mood boosters that benefit us all. Let's continue to be a supportive and grateful community!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As the weather starts to get colder it's important to remember to send your children to school with proper outerwear. Please use the infographic below as a guide for what each student needs to be comfortable outside during recess. If you are in need of assistance with winter gear please don't hesitate to contact me directly so I can connect you with local resources.

Thanks,

Nurse Ashley
